Birthday dad and his gang.
Since Gus took a monster nap this afternoon, the girls and I were able to get ready for Eric's party. Maddie blew up balloons, made a crown, and hung a homemade birthday sign on the front door. Elise put a tooter on everyone's place at the dinner table, helped wrap his gifts, and chased the dogs around to make it extra crazy. Amazingly, we found time to decorate the cake and put on fancy dresses just as he walked in the door.

Elise was so excited for Eric (aka Diego) that she sang him a song.
Here's the story: Elise likes to play "Dora" and so each of us is a character from the show. I am Boots (Dora's little monkey friend). Eric is Diego (Dora's animal rescuing cousin). Maddie is Alicia (Diego's sister). Gus is Baby Jaguar (who is rescued every time). Bucky is Isa (an iguana?) and Chaco is Tico (a squirrel?).
