SNOW DAY!

Tuesday, December 8th was our first snow day! It was snowing Monday night when we went to bed and Maddie could not sleep -- she kept talking about the possible snow day. We woke to almost a foot of snow and the kids were outside ALL day!

Maddie and the neighbor kids made a plan on the way home from the bus on Monday to meet out in the cul-de-sac at 9:30 if they were home. Their first fort was dig in an hour! By 10:45, they needed hot chocolate and they began another fort.

After lunch, Eric took the girls sledding at a nearby hill. They returned to have hot chocolate and the neighbors over for a meeting about their snow store. Listen to their plans! They sell hot chocolate and snowballs, and build snowmen -- for a small fee. They even made a menu!

Gus did much better with his gloves, hat, and boots this year.

Thankfully, the neighbors shared their snowblower with us, but Eric's mono was made worse by all the snow moving. This winter he isn't going to be enjoying the snow as much as he'd like. Bummer.

Chaco and Bucky were in heaven!
